1. Who we are

Jens Infotech ("we", "us", "our") is a 360° digital agency operating from Mumbai (110 Rajiv Gandhi Complex, near Atharva College, Charkop Gaon, Kandivali West, Mumbai 400067, Maharashtra) and Jaipur, India. Established 2013. The data controller for this website (jensinfotech.in) is Jens Infotech.

2. What information we collect

We collect information you provide voluntarily and information that is collected automatically when you visit our site.

Information you provide: Name, email, phone number, company name, project details — when you fill in our contact form, lead-capture modal, newsletter signup, or WhatsApp us.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent, referring URL — via cookies and Google Analytics 4 (with anonymised IP).

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

3. Why we collect it

We use your data to: (a) respond to your enquiry or request, (b) send you proposals, contracts and project updates if you become a client, (c) send you our newsletter only if you explicitly opt in, (d) understand site usage to improve content and performance, (e) comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not share it with marketers, data brokers or AI training datasets.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use a minimal cookie set:

Theme preference cookie (jens-theme): saves your light/dark theme choice. First-party, no tracking.
Google Analytics 4 (G-MWGZ224ZJW): pageview, session and conversion analytics with anonymised IP and SameSite=None;Secure cookie flags. You can opt out via Google's GA opt-out browser add-on.
Google Fonts: served from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log the IP address of font requests. We are working on self-hosting to remove this dependency.

You can refuse cookies via your browser settings. Some site features may break.

5. Third parties we share data with

We share limited personal data with these processors, only to deliver the services you request:

Google (LLC, USA) — Analytics, Search Console, Workspace email.
Meta Platforms — only if you click a Meta Ad to reach us.
WhatsApp Business (Meta) — when you message us via wa.me links.
Hosting provider — for serving this website.
Razorpay — for payment processing if you become a paying client.

We sign data-processing agreements with all processors handling personal data on our behalf.

6. How long we keep your data

Lead enquiries: 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
Client records: duration of contract + 7 years (Indian tax compliance).
Analytics data: 14 months (GA4 default retention).
Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe (one-click in every email).

7. Your rights

Under India's DPDP Act and GDPR you can ask us to:

Confirm what data we hold about you
Provide a copy in a portable format
Correct inaccurate data
Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to processing
Withdraw consent at any time (newsletters etc.)

Email info@jensinfotech.in with the subject line "Data Request" — we respond within 30 days.

8. Security

The site runs on HTTPS with HSTS, modern security headers (X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy), and a hardened admin area behind authentication. Lead-modal submissions are stored server-side with restricted access. We have not had a public security incident; if one occurs we will notify affected users within 72 hours per DPDP Act.

9. International transfers

Some of our processors (Google, Meta) are based in the United States. They operate under standard contractual clauses for cross-border data transfers and certify compliance with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where relevant.

10. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the homepage banner for 14 days.
